Please excuse the tone and phrasing as I am a little miffed.
Just venting:
This social media thing is a trip. People post stuff, I comment because that’s what we’re encouraged to do right?!?!? Right! Since my comment – no, my perspective is something OTHERS would NOT do, to the OTHERS, I’m lying. HOW SWAY?!?! HOW?!?! Just because I don’t roll with the so-called majority nor the negative stereotypes about Black women & American women then I’m LYING?!?!
How about this?!?! I’m DIFFERENT! I don’t roll like that. I am NOT an example of the negative stereotypes out there. Money means LESS to me than matters of the heart. I ain’t easily bought/purchased. I will DECLINE “free money” because “free” is not always indicative of money. If money is FREE, there was a PRICE PAID or a price BEING paid somewhere, somehow, someway! That price will be my deciding factor on if I’ll accept the “free money.”
As financially challenged as I might be at times, my moral, ethical, scrupulous standards are CLEARLY higher than the OTHERS I encounter via social media! Society ain’t shit.
If you think money will SOLELY make you happy, you are NOT truly living this thing called life. When I was heavy into pole classes I heard, “Gurl you can make some money when you get good.” WHY?!? WHY bring money into it?!?! Why can’t I just pole because I WANT to? Learning digital editing, “Ohhh, you can get a good-paying job doing that.” WHY bring up employment, especially when I have a good-paying job?!? Why can’t I just learn digital editing to SAVE money and do my own vs paying someone else?!?!
It’s one thing to earn money and saving much of it is even better. I get the fun of spending it as well. I fully enjoyed spending money for and when I went to Jamaica for the first time in September 2018. Earned money is usually spent wisely while “free money” is usually spent carelessly. If we paid attention to the PRICE of both aka HOW both were acquired, the spending would be different, and “free money” wouldn’t be SO desired in our hellish society.
